Little Squirt!

Today was my friend Marcelle's Baby Shower!  It was so fun and I am so glad I was able to go!  She is having a little boy,  her 3rd child!  She has an older boy and a girl.  She was blessed with so many wonderful gifts today and it was so sweet seeing her get emotional over a beautiful blanket her grandma crocheted for her even though she is very ill.  It was so beautiful!!  I even got teary eyed!  I get that from my mom, LOL!

Anyway, I LOVE making cards and look for ANY and ALL occasions to make one! LOL!  So, naturally, I'd make a card to go along with my gifts for Marcelle.  Shoot, I forgot to take a picture of the gifts.  Oh well.  I made her 2 hats on my knitting loom.  I made a super soft blue/white one with a pom-pom on top for a hospital hat and then I made a bigger brown and blue one that he can wear in the winter when he's a little older.

Ok, enough of my rambling, haha....!  Onto the card!!

I really love how this card turned out!!  I used B is for Boy cricut lite cartridge for the Elephant on the ball and for the words "Little Squirt".  For the water, I used Every Day Paper Dolls cricut cartridge.  The paper is from my stash!
I REALLY had fun with this card!!  And she really liked it too!  I'm so glad!  :-)

HAPPY BABY SHOWER DAY MARCELLE!!!  I can't wait to meet your new handsome little man!!  Love ya!!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope everyone is having a great saturday and staying cool!!
Bye for now! :-)

ARGH!!!! Happy Birthday Chase!!!

I had an order for a custom made card the other day!  So exciting!!!  A customer (Hi Rosemary!!) asked me if I could make a card for her Great-Nephews upcoming birthday...  he is turning 3!  She said the party was Pirate themed, so fun!!!  She also asked if I could incorporate the NFL Vikings team colors into it as Chase's parents are Vikings fans.  This was a REALLY fun card to make!!

I used Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut Cartridge for the Pirate and accesories.  I used Cherry Limeade for the name at the top and for the '3' I used Birthday Bash.  For the cute Pirate's face, I used Everyday Character Face Assortment from Peachy Keen Stamps. All the paper is from my stash.

I really had a lot of fun making this card!  I'm glad you like it Rosemary and I can't wait to make the next card for you!!  I hope Chase likes it as much as I enjoyed making it!

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you all have a great weekend!!

Happy Father's Day

This is a card I made for my Step-father for Father's Day.  (I still have to post my dad', my Father-in-law's and my Step-father-in-law's).
He enjoys golf so I thought it would be fun to make this card.  I wasn't really sure what I was going to do at first, other than using the golfer guy and as I was piecing him together it started to just flow!  I remembered I saw some clouds in one of my cartridges and that I have a grass punch!  I had so much fun to making this card!!  And, he really loved it too!!

I used Everyday Paper Dolls for the golfer and his accesories and clothes.  I also cut the clouds out using this cartridge.
For the grass, I used a Fiskers punch.
For the face, I used none other than the wonderful Peachy Keen Stamps Everyday Character Face Assortment and I used a white jelly roll pen for the whites of his eyes. I also used the white pen to accent the lines on the gilf bag and a black pen to accent the lines on his clothing and shoes.

I decided to enter this card in the "So glad you're my dad" challenge (#110) over at CardzTV .  This is the first challenge I have EVER entered so I am excited and nervous, HAHA!!  But, it's fun so fun making cards...  I enjoy it!!! Wish me luck!

Thanks for stopping by and seeing what's new!  I hope your weekend is wonderful!!

Best Wishes: Missionary Card

In our Church, we have young men who serve a 2 year Mission to teach people about Jesus Christ and His restored Church.  (Girls may also serve if they would like to and they go for 18 months).
My family and I really love the missionaries.  We wouldn't be where we are today if it weren't for these young men!  We love having the Missionaried over to out home for a meal and discussion/lesson.  They have the possibility of being trasferred to a new area every six weeks or they stay for a few months...
On of the Missionaries that we have grown to love was just recently transferred to a new are.  We decided it would be fun to make him a card to wish him well and let him know he'll be missed and that we appreciate his service.

I used the Inspired Heart Cricut Cartridge for my cut of the Missionaries for this card.  I have been searching for a cartridge that has some LDS type cuts and one day poking around Glora's Crafts , I saw this wonderful cartridge used for a baptism card.  I knew I needed it!!
For the Best Wishes sentiment, I used Pink By Design's Scripted Year stamp set.

He really enjoyed this card (even if he kind of expected it, LOL!)

Thanks for stoppng by!  I hope you have a great weekend!

Reach For The Stars!

As I mentioned in an Older post, my daughter LOVES all things having to do with music.  She just finished her first full season of Classical Ballet and did AMAZING!!!
We thought it would be fun to make cards for all the little girls in her ballet class as encouragement for the recital and as a "Job well done" to them.
We made a list of all the girls in the class (10 including the teachers) and then had one of the teachers write down hair color so we could personalize all of the cards.

I used Twinkle Toes Cricut Cartridge for the Ballerinas (which honestly, I wasn't too happy with this cut.  The clothes didn't line up right and neither did the shoes or the hair...  It ended up making it look kind of sloppy.  I covered the area between the shirt and tutu with stickles to hide the "body" which was actually the color of the hair we cut... just all around disappointed... bummer).

For the Sentiment, I used My Pink Stampers Encourage Me stamp set and inside we used Cardz TV Stamps It's All About You.
The face is Peachy Keen Stamps Everyday Character Face Assortment.

The cards were a big hit with the girls and all the girls danced beautifully at the recital!!  Great Job!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!  Come back again soon!

YOU DID IT! Graduation (#2)

So here are the other two graduation cards I made for a set of twin girls that go to my  Church
I cannot tell them apart to save my life, LOL!  But they are both sweet girls!  The one sometimes wears her hair curly and the other flat irons hers so I looked at their graduation picture that they posted on facebook to see who was who, LOL!

I used Everyday Paper Dolls for both girls and the accesories and clothes.  I used Paperdoll Dress Up for the hair of both girls.
For the cute faces, I used Peachy Keen Stamps Everyday Character faces Assortment and I used a white jelly roll pen for the whites of the eyes.  I used chalk for the cheeks.
I added some stickles for the tassles b/c what's a card without stickles?!  Stickles make everything fun!  :-)

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you'll come back soon!!

YOU DID IT! Graduation Card

We have 3 girls in our Church who just graduated High School!  I am so happy for these girls!  I wanted to make them each a card.  I am going to do this in 2 seperate posts as 2 of the girls are twin sisters.
Here is the first card that I made.  I really like how it turned out!

For this card, I used Cricut Cartridge: Everyday Paper Dolls!  Such a fun cartridge!!
I used Peachy Keen Stamps Everyday Character face Assortment for the face!  I thought this Surprised look was so fun and not the usual smile you see on card like this!
For the "YOU DID IT" sentiment, I used Cardz TV Stamps It's All About You.  I LOVE this stamps set!  It works with so many things!  It's so fun!  Mary has some really gret stamps sets and I can't wait to get more!  My husband bought me 3 sets for Mother's Day!  I LOVE that he knows what makes me happy!!!
For the whites of the eyes, I used a white jelly roll pen and for the cheeks I used some chalk to make them look like she's blushing!  So fun!!!
I used stickles on the tassle.

Thanks for stopping by!!  Check back again soon for new cards I make!
Have a wonderful weekend!

You ROCK! Birthday Card

My Brother-in-law's birthday was last week and we went to my Mother-in-law's for a family lunch to celebrate.  He used to play the guitar and I know he still enjoys it (although he's too busy to play right now...)  He was actually in a band a few years back and I hear from my husband that he was really good!!

Anyway, This card was kind of a family idea b/c I wasn't sure what to make for him.  Then I was reminded that he used to play guitar.  Luckily my Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge has a guitar player on it.  I LOVE the paper doll carts b/c you can mix and match just about everything on them!  It's so fun!!
I didn't need to mix and match anything with this card though b/c the harstyle was already as close to his as I could get!  I used Peachy Keen Stamps Everyday character face assortment stamps for the face... It's the wink but the hair is covering the eye that is closed... Oops....

My 2 older children helped pick out the background and colors for the card and I used my cuttlebug to emboss the background with the spots and dots folder.  I like how it makes the paper kind of look "grunge" like!  Haha!

Happy Birthday Randy!!!!

Thanks for stopping by everyone!  Have a "Rockin' " day!!!!

Happy Birthday, Ballet

My daughter wanted to me to make birthday cards for two of her ballet teachers.
I really love how this card turned out!!  I love the colors and the look of it!  It's just so pretty and girlie!

I used Cricut Cartridge Twinkle Toes for the fancy ballet slipper cut.
I embossed the background paper with my cuttlebug and the divine swirls folder.

The Happy Birthday Sentiment is from My Pink Stampers Birthday Crazy stamp set!  I love this stamp set!  It gives you so many ways to say Happy Birthday to someone special!

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it!!
I decided to enter this card in the Say It With Sentiments Paper Playtime Challenge.  Wish me luck!  (this is my second challenge ever!!)

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!!

You are the CHERRY on top!

This is a fun card I made for my friend Linda.  I like surprising my friends with b-day cards on their special day...
Who doesn't love an icecream sundae!?!!!

I used Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge for the Icecream Sundae and I used Stickles for the "shiny" part of the cup and the Cherry.  The Sentiment on the front, " and inside (I don't have a picture of it but it says "You are the Cherry on top!) are from My Pink Stamper, Sweet Goodness stamp set and Birthday Crazy.

School Nurses Have PATIENCE!

We wanted to make a card for the School nurse this year....  just to show our appreciation.  I don't think School Nurses get recognized very often for all that they do....

This is kind of a quick post... I'm playing catch up from not posting for a few weeks...  Boo to me..

Anyway, here is the card:

I used Every Day Paper Dolls Cricut Cartridge for this card.
The sentiment is from Pink By Designs Our Teachers stamp set.
For the Nurse's face, I used Peachy Keen Stamps Everyday Character Face Assortment.  I used a white jelly roll pen for the whites of the eyes and some chalk for the cheeks!  Isn't she cute??!!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a wonderful day!!

"Sweet" Friend!!

Here is a card that my daughter help me make for her friend who was very sweet to her.  She stuck up for my daughter in the midst of some teasing and bullying in the lunch room!  I couldn't be more grateful to her for defending my daughter!!  This little girl LOVES Icecream, so, what's more appropriate than an icecream card!  Yay!!!

We had fun embossing the layers with my cuttlebug machine using the Divine Swirls folder, the candy cane folder and the swiss dots folder....
We used the Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge and My Pink Stamper's Sweet Goodness stamp set.  The stamp on the front says "100% Sweet" and inside it says "Thanks for being so Sweet".

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Thank You Guidance Counselor

My Daughter had a rough year and her school guidance counselor was a really great help for her this year.  I am so grateful that schools have Guidance Counselors for children to go to and speak with on a personal level.  I love that my daughter could go there and confide in this wonderful woman and learn ways to handle things like bullying and self esteem and even things at home, like her wild younger borther, LOL!

Anyway, We made this card for the Guidance Counselor and I thought it was just perfect.  It's from the A Child's Year Cricut Cartridge.  It's acually one of the "Mom" cuts but I thought "How perfect, it's a woman bending down and caring for a young child" just like this guidance counselor has done so often wil my child and many others.

I love the background against the black silhouette!  It look so great!!  (I definitely don't mean to "toot my own horn" by any means...  This is just a favorite of mine!

The Sentiment is from Pink By Design: Our Teachers stamp set. This set can be used for just about every person who works in a school or with Children!  I love this set!!

Thank you Teacher: Music

This is one of my absolute FAVORITE cards that I have ever made!!!!
My daughter LOVES music class...  she loves all things having to do with music actually.  She loves to dance, sing, play the piano....  She is always making up songs and dances.  So, it only makes sense that she loves music class in school as well.

As I said, this in one of my favorite cards that I have made so far!!!  I LOVE the background against the black and white of the piano!!  It just makes the card Pop!!

I used Cricut Cartridge Twinkle Toes for the Piano and I used Stickles on the keys to the piano.
The sentiment is from Pink By Design, Our Teachers.

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do!!

So unfortunately, this didn't upload correctly either.  I don't know how to rotate my photos once they are posted on my blog....  it is correct in my photo album on my computer.
Anyway, isn;t this card so cool!!!??

Thanks for stopping by!  :-)

Have a Happy day!!

You put the PAL in Principal!

For the end of the school year this year, my daughter and I thought it would be fun to make cards for all of her teachers and the prinicipal, nurse and secretary.
Here is the card we made for the Principal:
Ok, I don't know why this loaded sideways...  It's the correct way on in my photo album on my compyter and I can't figure out how to rotate it in my post, so, i apologize if you're neck gets sore trying to look at it....

The sentiment: "Have A Totally Sweet Birthday" is from My Pink Stamper's Sweet Goodness stamp set that I bought here.

Pink Elephant

I was just playing around one day and decided to make this sweet Elephant card.  I figured it would be cute for a Welcome Baby Girl card but I think it might also work for a birthday card for a sweet little girl.

I used this stamp set for the face from Peachy Keen Stamps.
The sentiment, Cute As A Button is from My Pink Stamper stamp set: Sweet baby, which I bought here.

Dino-riffic!!

Here is a really fun card for the little boy in your life!
This Dino has such a happy face and he is here to wish that sweet little boy a Happy Birthday!
This card could also work as a "Way to go, you did it" card or "Just Because"!

I used one of my favorite cricut cartridges for this card, Create A Critter.
The Dino-riffic Sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's Boy Crazy stamp set which I bought here
